I hope everyone is staying dry today!

Today, progress reports went out. I expect students to have them signed by Thursday morning. If they are not, your child will be assigned an afterschool detention. I make it very easy for students to pass my classes. They simply need to complete their work, both at home and in class. If your child has a D or an F, it is because they are not turning in their work.

A lot of students did not turn in their research notes for their project. They can turn it in for half credit. Rough drafts for the Explorations, Early Years, and map pages are due on Friday.

This week in math, we will be multiplying and dividing decimals. In reading, we will finish Maniac Magee. In writing, we will write an acrostic and Clarihew poem. In social studies, we will wrap up our explorers unit with cause and effect. There will be a test next week!

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day!

This week will be a short week, but filled to the brim with work!

All students were given a research project for Social Studies on Friday. They were assigned an explorer. Research notes are DUE THIS FRIDAY!

Friday also marks mid-quarter. Make sure any missing assignments are turned in this week, as they will show up on progress reports.
