are now halfway through third quarter!
Progress
reports will go home today! Make sure you review it and sign it by Friday!
Anyone who shows me a signed progress report tomorrow morning will receive 5
extra credit points in their lowest subject!
This
is Love of Reading Week! I will have several guests coming in to read to the
class. Most importantly, tomorrow is PJ Day! Your child is welcome to wear
their PJs to school, as well as bring a blanket to lay on the floor to read with
their friends. On Friday, your child may dress as their favorite book
character. Please note that it MUST be appropriate, and it needs to be a BOOK
character!
I
am very impressed with the Galileo scores from last week! Students will be
receiving tickets from me later this week based on their growth. We will have a
class party next Tuesday (02/18) in the afternoon to celebrate our growth.
This
week in math, we will finish our unit on multiplying and dividing fractions and
take a test. In reading, we will spend a lot of time reading books together, as
well as focus on poetry. In writing, we will continue working through the
mechanics of grammar. In social studies, we will read a Scholastic newsletter.
