Welcome
to the second to last week before the end of the third quarter!
As
a quick reminder, I want to make sure that all parents are using engrade.com. This is an incredibly useful tool for you to
check your child's grades online AS I UPDATE THEM.
Due
to students failing to turn in a large portion of their homework each week, I
have a new policy. If a student misses
three or more assignments within a week, they will have afterschool detention
that Friday. This policy goes into
effect TODAY!
It
is essential that your child is here this week, as we are doing benchmark
testing for AIMS. This is a way for us
as a school to see what we can do better to make sure everyone learns. Any problem areas can be caught and I can
reteach any missed concepts.
This
week in math, we will begin vertex-edge graphs. In reading, we will review some of the
concepts learned regarding author's purpose.
In writing, students will be asked to write informational paragraphs. In science, we will begin learning about the
planets.
