Gonzales Weekly
10/15/12
Happy Monday!
A special thank you to all parents who I met with last
week! I just have three of you to meet
with this week and we are set for another year!
Even though these parent teacher conferences are the only ones you are
required to do, if you ever have any concerns, please contact me and we can set
up another meeting at any time this year.
This week will be very busy!
We are taking another practice AIMS test in math, reading, and
writing. It is ESSENTIAL that your child
be in school, especially Monday-Wednesday.
These tests are a great indicator of how they will do on the AIMS – and
will tell us what I as their teacher can do to improve their scores.
The cookie dough fundraiser begins today. Please make sure that your child is
fundraising! The money we make from this
goes towards new technology in our classrooms.
In addition to the testing, we will be doing a lot of other
activities this week! In math, we will
begin fractions. In reading, we will
(make sure you are asking them about what they are reading!). In science, we will continue studying the
human skeleton. In social studies, we
will learn about the Seven Year's War.
We will begin working on writing introductions in our writing classes.
