Welcome to another week of
school! This week marks several
important events going on around La Paloma Academy!
To start off, we have Open
House on Wednesday from 6-8! There are
several assemblies that you should go to, as well as come visit your child’s
classroom. I will have several samples
of their work to show you what we do in class. It is extremely important that you come! Remember, this is not a time for conferences.
Conferences will take place immediately
after Fall Break. I will begin
scheduling them mid-September. If you
wish to have a conference with me before that, I am more than willing to do so!

Next up is Book Fair! The book fair will be open after school! They are taking home a list of books available
today!
Finally, mid-quarter
grades will go home next week. They will
include all assignments up to this Friday, August 31st. Can you
believe it’s already mid-quarter???
In math, we are focusing
on finding the Least Common Multiple and Greatest Common Factor. In reading, we will continue with Maniac
Magee.
In writing, we will begin
learning about nouns. In social studies,
your child will write an informative essay on the New
England colonies.
