Welcome to the second full week of school!
By now, your child should be fully aware of the expectations in my
classroom during work time. I have very
high expectations to ensure that your child is prepared for AIMS in April, as
well as future classrooms. Please check
in with me if you have any concerns about what I ask for in my class!
Open House is Wednesday, August 29th. This is NOT time for Parent/Teacher
Conferences. It is for you to get
acquainted with your child’s classroom and get to see some of the work we have
completed this month. I will be doing
official Parent/Teacher Conferences in mid-October after Fall Break. If you have concerns before that, please let
me know and we can either discuss it via phone/email or set up a meeting time! I know I’ve already spoken with several
parents and things have gone great so far! I love all of the communication I’ve had with
parents this year!
I sent out an email to parents on my listserv about homework and I’ll
remind everyone else here as well: math and spelling homework is due Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Reading logs are due
Fridays as well. Any other homework will
most likely be due the very next day.
