Hello parents and students!
This is my blog. Like I said in my letter home, I will be posting my newsletter here as well as sending home a paper copy. My newsletter will generally consist of what we will be doing in math, reading, writing, science, and social studies that week. I will also post spelling words up here. Assignments, due dates, homework worksheets (that I create online) will be accessible here as well.
Today, we did a lot of reviewing procedures and rules in the class. The three big rules of the school are Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe/Caring. I went over what this looks like in class, and we will have mini-presentations in the cafeteria, playground, and bathrooms tomorrow morning. Please make sure you are aware of these rules and encouraging your child to follow them!
Tomorrow, we will be doing more work with rules, teamwork, and community-building. We will also have a writing assignment.
This weekend, your child has a homework assignment. They will create "me" boxes. This can be a shoebox. It needs to be filled with 3-5 (NO MORE THAN 5) items that describe them. They can include things like awards, autographs, medals, martial arts belts, etc. Do not have your child bring anything big OR alive! Everything should fit in a shoebox. I will give your child more information about that tomorrow and do a sample presentation for them.
Part of their homework tonight is to post a comment on this blog. Make sure you do that!

Hi Ms.Gozales. I love your blog it is so convenient. I love it. Thank you for being my teacher this year. I hope we can make the best of it by that I mean I hope we can have fun when we learn. I can't thank you enough to be my teacher. HAVE A GREAT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
