Welcome to the second week of school!  We had a great first two days, and we will begin more rigorous academics starting today!

In math, we will begin reviewing multiplication and our multiplication facts.  It is essential that your child knows their multiplication facts from 0-12.  If they do not know, please practice with them every day!

For reading this week, we will be reading the Heroine of Kapiti, a traditional legend from New Zealand.  We will be focusing on traditional literature and poetry for the first few months of school.

On Friday, we began writing our first essay about the best part of our summer.  We will continue working on this throughout the week and will have a final copy ready by Friday.  Your child will be asked to write one essay nearly every week to prepare for the AIMS Writing in April.
